Are you one of those who don't trust online casinos? You need to read this
Strendus' cybersecurity specialist described to us all the requirements that a trustworthy online gambling site must have.
Mexico City, 10 December 2018.- The mandatory element for any online casino is security, as it is the primary incentive for its users not to fall into uncertainty. Online gambling houses spare no expense when it comes to this issue and seek to have the most up-to-date protection software. To provide more context, we interviewed Strendus' cyber security expert Hugo Ugarte, who talked to us about all the features that secure online casinos should have.
Hugo certifies that any non-hazardous site must have a system of encryption technology, which facilitates processes such as winning, losing, payouts, bonuses deposited, transfer times and cash availability to run without delays.
The encryption goes through sockets (commands where two or more programs exchange data in an orderly manner) that are regulated by a Secure Socket Layer or better known as SSL (system that guarantees that such data travels in an integral manner) which must be proof against DDoS attacks (which are attacks to the servers from different computers to bring down the system).
"At Strendus we take the issue of encryption very seriously and therefore shield the data under three layers of security that include sending and receiving information via sockets in a reliable and orderly manner. The data is then processed by a leading cybersecurity system that monitors the quality of the data, which prevents corruption or degradation and protects against DDoS attacks at all times. A final layer of artificial intelligence detects abnormal patterns, which are reported to our professional anti-fraud team for preventive action.
In addition to the encryption system, no online bookmaker would be complete without a random number generator. The generator is a set of mathematical models and proprietary algorithms, which produce a highly random chaotic result. Without a reliable one, there is no way of knowing if the site is fair in sharing out the winnings. It is the engine that makes all games subject to chance.
A constant concern among users is that their personal information is used for unethical purposes. These kinds of portals have a registry where very sensitive data, such as bank card numbers, are entered. "Encryption and protection of financial data is a priority, so you must have the best banking processors on the market with which every card is scanned under rigorous security methods that provide protection at all times, and under no circumstances store customer data," says the digital security expert.
